Introduction to Intercultural Healthcare provides an introduction to healthcare from a global perspective. The course will primarily address five key questions: What are the causes of illness, disability, and mortality? What leads to these health issues? Which populations are most affected? Why is it important for us to be concerned about these matters? What actionable strategies can be implemented to tackle significant health challenges in an efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable manner? While the course will have a global perspective, it will particularly emphasize low- and middle-income nations, the health of impoverished communities, and health inequities. Ongoing attention will be directed towards health systems, the connections between health and development, and global interdependence concerning health issues.
